Gemini AI Chatbot – Formerly Google Bard
An Overview
The Gemini AI chatbot, developed by Google, was originally known as Google Bard. After refining and optimizing its features, Google redesigned it into the current Gemini AI Chatbot.
Similar to ChatGPT, Gemini AI employs advanced algorithms to analyze information, learns from user data, and adapts over time to make optimal decisions.
How Does Gemini AI Work?
To understand properly, let’s think of it like teaching a child to do walk.
- Basic Understanding: First, the child reads the instructions, understands the process, and learns the fundamentals of the activity they need to perform.
- Practicality: Second, they crawl, then try to stand up and balance, and eventually begin standing on their feet. They fall many times but improve with practice. Similarly, Gemini AI learns by trying different actions, observing what works best, and adapting over time.
- Combining Knowledge & Experience: Now, imagine that the child can stand up and walk properly. This combination of knowledge (instructions) and experience (practice) is what makes it so special. It can understand complex instructions quickly, efficiently and also adapt and learn from the prompts entered by the user.
Why is Gemini AI Important?
Gemini AI is important because it advances AI as a powerful and versatile tool for humans. Here are a few reasons why:
- Better Understanding: It can understand and generate information more accurately by combining various algorithms and databases, all powered by Google. This enhances its ability to answer questions, write on specific topics, and interact with users, creating a more authentic human interaction experience.
- Adaptability: Because it learns from experience, it can adapt to new situations better than traditional AI. For example, if we ask it to play and learn a video game, and later request it to do the same with a different game, it could quickly adapt to the new game or solve new problems without needing additional instructions or external databases.
- Potential Uses: The combination of understanding concepts & remembering the data like a real person could make it useful in many areas, like customer service, data analysis, healthcare, education, travel and hospitality, retail, entertainment, smart homes, human resources, virtual assistant, etc.
Current Usage of Artificial Intelligence in the World Market
Currently in the world, people are using AI to make their work and life easier. But, 2 things which are most prominent in the market according to what I’ve seen on the internet are these:
- Data Analytics: AI can analyze large datasets to forecast trends and make predictions based on past data, which is also known as predictive analytics. It also helps in identifying patterns and abnormalities in a data, which can used in business insights and decision making.
- Machine Learning: AI helps in machine learning as well by providing quick and advanced algorithms and models of the particular product which people are working on, where it learns from the data given by us and produces data driven results. It also creates patterns, make predictions, which ultimately gets better over time without directly being programmed, which is very crucial for time management and overall process of ML.
The Future of AI with Gemini
Artificial Intelligence is still early in development, but it marks a big step toward creating systems that think, learn, and adapt like humans. As AI evolves, we can expect improvements in its capabilities, efficiency, and the range of tasks it can perform. What excites me the most is the potential integration of AI with augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to create immersive and interactive experiences with just one click. While this is still a dream, the rapid advancement of AI makes it seem like a reality is approaching soon. I envision AI becoming my virtual companion, like a friend with whom I can explore new places and experiences.
Conclusion
Lastly, it acts like a super-smart assistant, capable of reading, understanding, learning, adapting, generating, and teaching. It continuously improves, helping with daily activities without needing initial instructions.
As it evolves, it will be fascinating to see how it transforms the way we live and work.
AI cannot destroy humanity. We created it, and it’s too early for AI to make complex human-like decisions.
Even Christopher Nolan, my favorite Hollywood movie director thinks the same, so I’m not changing my opinion. But, I would like to finish this article by saying that it sure is “a new era of technology”.
